A coming Messiah will save people from their sins

 – sins scarlet to white 262.28.15;
6:8 – here I am; send me 262.1.8; 262.3.4;
13:6 – terror: scream in t., for the Lord’s time has come 262.47.21;
28:10 – precept upon precept 262.2.12; 262.3.14; 262.11.10; 262.12.4; 262.24.14; 262.26.11;  262.27.4; 262.30.8; 262.38.3; 262.47.16;
28:13 – snared and taken 262.2.12; 262.3.14; 262.11.10; 262.12.4; 262.24.14; 262.26.11; 262.27.4; 262.30.8; 262.38.3; 262.47.16;
34:4 – God’s anger 262.28.14;
55:8-9 – intentions: my i. are not always yours 262.47.18;

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.  KJV

18 I, the Lord, invite you
to come and talk it over.
Your sins are scarlet red,
but they will be whiter
than snow or wool.  CEV

18 And then come, and accuse me, saith the Lord: if your sins be as scarlet, they shall be made as white as snow: and if they be red as crimson, they shall be white as wool.  DRA

“Come. Sit down. Let’s argue this out.”

This is God’s Message:
“If your sins are blood-red,
they’ll be snow-white.
If they’re red like crimson,
they’ll be like wool.
If you’ll willingly obey,
you’ll feast like kings.
But if you’re willful and stubborn,
you’ll die like dogs.”
That’s right. God says so.

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.  KJV

8 Then I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom ·can [will] I send [C to speak for God to Israel]? Who will go for us [C referring to God and his heavenly court, or possibly to the Trinity]?”
So I said, “Here I am. Send me!”  EXB

Then I heard the Lord’s voice.
Eternal One:
Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us?
Isaiah: Here I am! Send me.  VOICE

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little  KJV

10 For command, command again; command, command again; expect, expect again; expect, expect again: a little there, a little there.  DRA

10 He is trying to teach us letter by letter, line by line, lesson by lesson.”  GNT

10 It is ever, Pass the word on, pass the word on, Wait a while yet, wait a while yet, A word with you, here, A word with you, there!  KNOX

In this context, the Hebrew expressions tsaw-tsaw and qaw-qaw are likely meant to sound like baby talk, but they could mean “command upon command” and “rule upon rule”

10 For it is blah-blah upon blah-blah,
blah-blah upon blah-blah,
gah-gah upon gah-gah,
gah-gah upon gah-gah,
a little here, a little there.  LEB

10 He speaks to us as though we were babies:

“Saw lasaw saw lasaw
Qaw laqaw qaw laqaw
Ze’er sham ze’er sham.”  ERV

9-10 “Is that so? And who do you think you are to teach us?
Who are you to lord it over us?
We’re not babies in diapers
to be talked down to by such as you—
‘Da, da, da, da,
blah, blah, blah, blah.
That’s a good little girl,
that’s a good little boy.’”  MSG

10 Here is how he teaches.
Do this and do that.
Do that and do this.
Obey this rule and obey that rule.
Obey that rule and obey this rule.
Learn a little here and learn a little there.”  NIRV

10 He tells us everything over and over—
one line at a time,
one line at a time,
a little here,
and a little there!”  NLT

10 You don’t even listen—
all you hear is senseless sound
after senseless sound.  CEV

They speak utter nonsense.  GWT

It may be observed here that God's method of imparting religious truth has often appeared to a scoffing world to be undignified and foolish. Sinners suppose that he does not sufficiently respect their understanding, and pay a tribute to the dignity of their nature. The truths of God, and his modes of inculcating them, are said to be adapted to the understandings of childhood and of age; to imbecility of years, or to times when the mind is enfeebled by disease.

Barnes’ Notes on the Bible

 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.  KJV

6 Wail, for the day of the Lord is at hand; as destruction from the Almighty and Sufficient One [Shaddai] will it come!  AMP

6 ·Cry [Wail], because the Lord’s day of judging is near;
    the Almighty is sending destruction.  EXB

6 Howl in pain! The day of the Lord is near, the day when the Almighty brings destruction.  GNT

6 Scream in terror, for the Lord’s time has come, the time for the Almighty to crush you.  TLB

6 Howl ye, for the day of the Lord is near: it shall come as a destruction from the Lord.  DRA

6 Wail, for the Lord’s day of judgment is near;
it comes with all the destructive power of the sovereign Judge.  NET

13 But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.  KJV

13 So the Lord’S words will be senseless sounds to them:

“Saw lasaw saw lasaw.
Qaw laqaw qaw laqaw.
Ze’er sham ze’er sham.”

When the people try to walk, they will fall backwards. They will be defeated, trapped, and captured.  ERV

13 The Lord speaks utter nonsense to them.
That is why they will fall backwards.
That is why they will be hurt, trapped, and captured.  GW

13 That is why the Lord is going to teach you letter by letter, line by line, lesson by lesson. Then you will stumble with every step you take. You will be wounded, trapped, and taken prisoner.  GNT

13 So God will start over with the simple basics
and address them in baby talk, one syllable at a time—
“Da, da, da, da,
blah, blah, blah, blah.
That’s a good little girl,
that’s a good little boy.”
And like toddlers, they will get up and fall down,
get bruised and confused and lost.  MSG

"though the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept", etc.; though it was delivered in so plain and easy a manner to them, and such methods of instruction were used gradually and gently, to instill knowledge into them, yet so stupid were they as not to receive it, and so perverse and stubborn as willfully to reject it; hence they were given up to judicial blindness and hardness, that they might go and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken: go on in their own sinful ways, backslide from God, and be broken by his judgments; and be ensnared and taken in the net of the Babylonians, and be carried by them into captivity; or rather fall into the hands of the Romans, and be taken and dispersed by them among the nations.  Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible

4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.  KJV

And here’s why: God is angry,

good and angry with all the nations,
So blazingly angry at their arms and armies
that he’s going to rid earth of them, wipe them out.
The corpses, thrown in a heap,
will stink like the town dump in midsummer,
Their blood flowing off the mountains
like creeks in spring runoff.
Stars will fall out of the sky
like overripe, rotting fruit in the orchard,
And the sky itself will be folded up like a blanket
and put away in a closet.
All that army of stars, shriveled to nothing,
like leaves and fruit in autumn, dropping and rotting!  MSG

 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.  KJV

8 “Indeed, my plans are not like your plans,
and my deeds are not like your deeds,
9 for just as the sky is higher than the earth,
so my deeds are superior to your deeds
and my plans superior to your plans.  NET

8 This plan of mine is not what you would work out, neither are my thoughts the same as yours! 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than yours, and my thoughts than yours.  TLB

Eternal One: 8 My intentions are not always yours,
        and I do not go about things as you do.
    My thoughts and My ways are above and beyond you,
        just as heaven is far from your reach here on earth.  VOICE

8-9 “I don’t think the way you think.
    The way you work isn’t the way I work.”
        God’s Decree.
“For as the sky soars high above earth,
    so the way I work surpasses the way you work,
    and the way I think is beyond the way you think.  MSG
